Koleżyński Andrzej

Andrzej Koleżyński is a theoretical chemist and material scientist working at the Faculty of Materials Science and Ceramics, AGH University of Science and Technology in Cracow. He studied chemistry at AGH University. His MSc thesis was devoted to vibrational spectroscopy (1985). He has two doctorates, in Chemistry (1996, subject of PhD thesis: The effective crystal potential of solids from the electronegativity viewpoint) and Philosophy (2008, subject of PhD thesis: Joachim Metallmann’s concept of determinism in natural sciences in the light of modern physical theories). He is a Full Professor of Materials Science and his current interests are mainly focused on electronic structure, transport properties, and chemical bonding in modern functional materials for energy conversion.
