Grygiel Krzysztof

Krzysztof Grygiel is an Associate Professor at the Institute of Spintronics and Quantum Information, Faculty of Physics and Astronomy, Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań. He completed his MSc degree in physics at the Faculty of Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry of Adam Mickiewicz University. He defended his PhD on the phenomenon of stimulated Raman scattering in 1988. His supervisor was Prof. Stanisław Kielich, the founder and head of the Department of Nonlinear Optics, where he was employed after his doctorate and then obtained his habilitation in 2002. His scientific activity included the phenomena of classical and quantum chaos in optical systems, the phenomena of synchronization of chaotic systems, the dynamics of optical couplers, and the dynamics of molecular systems. He collaborated with the group of Prof. Jan Perina from the Palacky University of Olomouc. In 2012-2020 he was the vice-dean of the Faculty of Physics and in 2017-2023 was the head of the Department of Nonlinear Optics.
