Hass Amanda B.

Amanda Bailey Hass began her studies at the University of Sheffield, England in 2011, from which she graduated with a MSc in Physics and Philosophy in 2015. The same year, she began her PhD studies with Dr. Karl Travis remaining at the university of Sheffield. It was during these years, she became familiar with the works of Bill and Carol Hoover. Specifically using Ree-Hoover diagrams to calculate virial coefficients and investigating phase diagrams of a family of potentials proposed by Hoover himself. She finished her PhD in 2019 where she took up a position as a Research Fellow of computational materials under Assisted Professor Steve Fitzgerald, at the University of Leeds, which she still holds. Her main research focus is in time accelerated multi scale modelling of interstitial defects.
