Chaplya Yevhen

 YEVHEN CHAPLYA: Professor, Director of The Centre of Mathematical Modelling, Pidstryhach Institute of Applied Problems of Mechanics and Mathematics, The Ukrainian National Academy of Sciences and Professor at Kazimierz Wielki University in Bydgoszcz Yevhen Chaplya is graduate of The Physical Department of Ivan Franko University in Lviv. Since 1973 he has been working at Pidstryhach Institute of Applied Problems of Mechanics and Mathematics, The Ukrainian National Academy of Sciences, where he received the corresponding degrees on the speciality of continuum media mechanics, and the title of full professor of mathematical modelling and computing methods. The sphere of his scientific interests is non-equilifrium thermodynamics, continuum mechanics, and the transfer processes in the bodies with microstructure. He has developed a continuum – thermodynamic approach to constructing mathematical models of mechanical, heat and diffusion processes, and carried out a number of investigations taking into account two ways of admixtures migration and their transition from one state into another. He is author of over 150 scientific works including three monographs.
