Bernard Marek K.

MAREK K. BERNARD, Assoc. Prof., Ph.D., D. Sc., graduated from the Poznań University of Medical Sciences in Poznań where he earned his Ph. D. degree under the supervision of professor U. Wrzeciono in 1987, and then D. Sc. degree (2002) in organic chemistry. He was twice a research fellow at the Institute of Organic Chemistry PAS in the professor M. Mąkosza group (1985, 1988) and held post-doctoral position at the University of Florida (Gainesville) in the professor A.R. Katritzky group (1989-1991). In years 2002-2008 he was a coordinator of the English program in pharmacy at the Poznań University of Medical Sciences. His main scientific interest include: nucleophilic substitution in azoles and azines, organic synthesis in solid phase, weak hydrogen bonding and molecular recognition.
